Floating Pop Box Card
It has been a while since I last posted. Seems I have been focusing more on my Facebook page. I also recently joined the Instagram world. The other day, when I was perusing the Facebook world I came across this beautiful 3 dimensional card and instantly knew that I had to CASE it. There was an instructional video done by "Mixed Up Craft" and she called the card a "Floating Pop Box Card". Her cards were approximately 6"x 6" square. I came up with an easy way to create something similar that would fit in an A2 envelope...and believe me its quick and easy!

TGIFC170 Repeat after Me
Today I am playing along with the TGIF Challenge 'Repeat after Me'!
I chose to use the Lift me Up stamp set because I thought that the balloons stamped repeatedly was appropriate for this challenge. I wanted to design a card that could be either feminine or masculine so decided to use cherry cobbler and bermuda bay as the primary colors. I love this color combination! I then decided that the card needed some dimension so cut out some clouds and then added ribbon and rhinestones as embellishments to finish it of.
Animal Outing Trio
I just can't put this set down this week! I love the soft colors with a bit of rustic feel of these cards. After embossing the very vanilla cardstock with the wood-grain embossing folder I lightly sponged smokey slate across it to give rustic look. Then, to soften the look I used muted colors for the images and added the polka dot tulle ribbon.

Animal Outing Note Cards and Box
The animal outing set is so sweet! The main colors that I used for this project are: calypso corral, pear pizazz, old olive, tranquil tide, and very vanilla. As you can see I also used scraps of paper from the share what you love dsp and wood textures dsp pack. I think these would be a great thank you gift, thinking of you gift, or just because!

Animal Outing
One of my favorite sets from the annual catalog this year is the Animal Outing suite. These cute animals are great for kids as well as adults and so versatile! I absolutely love that there are coordinating thinlits for each of the animal images.

Share what you love
I am in love with the new Share What you Love Suite of products. I love the colors and design of the paper especially with the pearlized accents. I love the coordinating dynamic embossing folder and the stamp sets. This suite is so versatile; it can be used for so many occasions. For instance, the card that I designed on the left can be used for birthday, mother's day, bridal shower, wedding, or sympathy.
This suite of products is available to everyone right now! Even before the new catalog is out. Contact me to learn how you can get your hands on these products.

Black Emboss Resist
Today I am CASE'ing Kelly Acheson's card using the black emboss resist technique she posted on April 27. Kelly's video tutorial can be found here.
I love this dahlia stamp and am sad to see it on the retiring list. I think that this flower is absolutely stunning with this technique!

Peekaboo Peach
So every month I go to a team meeting that my upline hosts. At this meeting we talk about what is new with SU, share ideas, make a couple of projects and my upline provides a challenge. The challenge usually involves her giving us a piece of dsp and an embellishment of some kind. The expectation is that we make something with the products and bring it with us to one of the next meetings. This month, we received a 6"x12" piece of retiring dsp (mine was in peekaboo peach) and a 6" peice of coordinating ribbon (mine again in peekaboo peach). Now, up until this point I haven't played much with this color but wanted to push myself to use it. In the end...I REALLY enjoyed playing with the color and now I'm sad that it is retiring.
Out of the 6"x12" peekabook peach with white flowers dsp, I got 3 cards, shown below:
This card was done using the 'recessed card' technique.
I really like the color combination here; peekaboo peach and pool party.
This card incorporates a card from a Memory and More scrapbooking card pack.

TGIF Challenge #TGIFC153
Thank goodness it is Friday! Right! Today I am playing along with TGIF Challenge 153. This weeks challenge is 'anything goes'. I was inspired by the design that Stesha Bloodhart, one of the designers, posted.
I decided to step a little outside my comfort zone and play with a color that I'm typically not drawn to as much, calypso coral. I just love how this turned out. The calypso coral works really well with the metallics in the springtime foil dsp. And I thought that the black embossed background really makes everything pop! The flowers from the springtime foil dsp is fussy cut and attached using dimensionals. I made the banner, with the sentiment, pop by using my bone folder to curl the paper in both directions to make it slightly wavy and I sponged the edges with calypso coral.
Thank you for looking!

Global Design Project #GDP131
This is my first time submitting an entry to any online creative challenge! Today I decided to play along with the Global Design Project. The theme this week is Easter #GDP131.
To me, this basket image has Easter written all over it. I wanted to do something a little non-traditional. I like the color combination; the designer series paper is wonderful for pulling colors as a spring board to build the rest of the card.

Springtime Foil Paper
I just love the springtime foil specialty designer series paper that came out for the last half of sale-a-bration. In this picture I showcase two techniques.
Left Card: I cut a piece of the foil paper and slid or brushed the dapper denim ink pad directly on the paper. I decided that I liked the visible brush strokes because it gives it a bit of a distressed look. Then I took a kleenex and wiped the paper to remove the ink from the foil part of the paper, kind of like buffing the paper. Added a quick sentiment, cut out with a stitched framelit and finished off with some shimmer ribbon. Tada! so quick and easy!
Right Card: I cut a piece of the foil paper, colored in the floral images with the Blends alcohol markers, added a bit of gold glitter paper along the top and bottom and finished off with a sentiment stamped and punched out.

Mini Easter Basket
Even though it is snowing in Calgary today I am in a spring mind-set. I can feel that blue skies, green grass, and tulips are on their way! Here is a cute little easter project that I CASE'd from Brenda Quintana. She has a video on her website. They are super quick and easy to put together!

Spring is in the Air!
It is a beautiful Sunday afternoon! The sun is out, there is blue sky, the snow and ice is melting, and the birds are chirping. Ahhhh! What better way to celebrate than to create a pretty spring card.
This is such a quick and easy card. I started by stamping the stems in old olive, the leaves and grass in pear pizzaz, the pink tulips in powder pink with blushing bride on top, and the yellow tulips in so saffron with daffodil delight on top. Two of the smaller tulips in the center of the card were stamped on a scrap of white, fussy cut, and popped with a dimensional.

Dreaming of sandy white beaches!
Here is a little something to cheer us up on a chilly foggy day! Like I said, the Waterfront stamp set is so versatile! I love that I can create a mountain, lake and forest scene one day and then a tropical island scene the next. Isn't the color combination on this card stunning. It almost makes me feel like I am there!

Waterfront
I am head over heals in love with the Waterfront stamp set!!! This set is so versatile and makes stunning cards. I CAS'd this card from a video that Tami White posted last week. This looks way more difficult than it actually is!
Playing with Brusho!
This year, Stampin Up! introduced Brusho in the Occasions catalogue and oh my goodness I am in love! These water color crystals are magical. What is so neat about this product is that no two cards will ever be exactly alike.
Playing with Stampin' Blends
I have been having so much fun with the new Stampin' Blends alcohol markers. The colors coordinate so nicely with the ink pads and because the markers are alcohol based they color / fill in space smoothly...in other words they blend nicely! They really give your projects that involve coloring a very professional look.
