Rooted in Nature Sympathy

Sympathy cards are never easy to make and when you need one you need it right away. I like using elements from nature for these types of cards and that is exactly what I did here. This card came together quite quickly once I decided what to do.
  • Card base: pear pizazz
  • First layer: I cut a piece of whisper white to 4" x 5 1/4" and stamped the leaf image horizontally across the center of the card, rotating the image, in pear pizazz and garden green. I then ran this through the subtle embossing folder to provide a little texture.
  • I stamped the wood slice image and sentiment using early espresso and hand cut them as seen in the photo. I cut the heart from the wood grain dsp using the Be Mine Stitched heart die cuts.
  • The sentiment and heart were attached to the wood slice using dimensionals.
  • I then punched three sets of leaves, from vellum, using the leaf punch and attached as shown. I love how the vellum softens the card.
